the design prices on this website. The prices listed here are for

Direct Bank Deposit?"
|
|
| |
Answer: YES. If you live nearby
Rockdale you can come in and pay by cash in person. We also
encourage direct deposit payments into our bank account if you do
not have a credit card. Otherwise you have the option of paying with our
chosen Australian payment gateway, Paymate, which will process your
payments online with most credit cards in 57 different countries.
Paymate is a guaranteed and trusted method for paying online with
your credit card with the Australian Dollar, which is why we prefer
to use it for processing our payments over Paypal. |

"Is it possible to get my last minute
job done? Within the next 24 hours?"
|
|
| |
Answer: YES. In most
circumstances one of our designers should be able to have your job
completed in the turnover time that you require. As long as we
receive your communication right away and we are able to speak to
you during that time about the progress of the job, we are happy to
do your last minute job for you. Please note however that the job
must be of a standard size in order for it to be completed within 24
hours. Very large jobs by nature may take longer than 24 hours to
complete. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
"What are your business hours?"
|
|
| |
Answer: Our preferred hours of
business are between 13:00 - 24:00 eastern standard time. We are
happy to work after normal business hours for any sort of last
minute or rush job beyond those hours. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
"Why do you use Paymate and Not PayPal?"
|
|
| |
Answer: We Prefer
Paymate over
PayPal because it is more easily integrated into a shopping Cart for
Australian Buyers. With Paymate we are able to sell our Design work
in Australian Dollars AUD. Paymate also has the advantage of
depositing funds directly into the sellers bank account within the
same business day. These are the main reasons we choose Paymate
rather than PayPal for our Ecommerce. |

"How much does a Graphic Designer
usually charge per hour?"
|
|
| |
Answer: In Australia as soon as
a Graphic Designer has completed their formal Graphic Design
education and left school, their work is expected to be worth a
minimum of $40 per hour. The median figure for Graphic Design work
is $90 per hour and a senior Graphic Designers rate is expected to
be anything up to $110 per hour or more. Generally the range of
charges is between $20 per hour as a lowest and $240 per hour as the
highest with a broad range of fees in between depending on the
experience and skill level of the graphic designer. |

"Who owns Copyright for the Designs that
I paid for?"
|
|
| |
Answer: At My Graphic Design
the Graphic Designer always owns copyright but upon final payment
for the Design you are actually paying for the license to use the
artwork or design for various purposes and under certain limitations
and conditions. We reserve the right to use the design for our own
promotional purposes, example: our website gallery. Your license
will cover the use of the Design for most standard purposes. Please
speak to our designer to clarify your license agreement and
copyright restrictions if you are unsure. |

"What is the difference between a Design
for Print vs. Web?"
|
|
| |
Answer: Design applications
which are made for Print require a higher resolution to maintain
their quality with the most common formats as tiff, eps or press
quality pdf's. These are mainly designed in cmyk format for the four
colour printing process. These files are usually large so that they
can be successfully printed to look Professional. Web graphics and
images on the other hand require a low resolution to be viewed on a
screen and are most commonly gifs or jpegs. These are designed using
the rgb colour mode or using specific hex colours. These are small
files so that they can be downloaded and viewed quickly on the web,
but, should never be used for print as the final product will end up
looking terrible. |

"If I want to order more than one
design. Will I get a discount?"
|
|
| |
Answer: YES. By purchasing more
than one design application you will save money on artwork by buying
it in bulk and having it done at the same place. It will also save
you the time and effort of transferring files from one designer to
another. You are able to create your own custom package deal in the
package deals section of our site, just by telling us what graphic
design applications you want to combine and we will introduce
reductions to the cost of the total creative process. Generally the
more designs you purchase the more of a discount you will receive.
It is a worthwhile way to save money by getting many jobs done at
the same time. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
"How long will my design take to
complete?"
|
|
| |
Answer: It depends. Some jobs
are simpler than others and therefore take less time. Some examples
of these are signs and simple logo designs. Some applications are cheaper than
others and that is usually because they are less complicated to design
and might take somewhere between a few hours or up to one day to
complete. Other applications such as Magazine Layouts and Book
Designs are more complicated and therefore require a lot more work
to get finished. These applications typically require a much larger
workload and are therefore priced higher than the others. You can
get an estimate for a graphic design application by requesting a
quote, answering a few questions and providing a description. That
way we can give you a closer estimate for time needed for your
graphic design job. |

"How do I know that I am being charged
fairly for graphic design work?"
|
|
| |
Answer: At My Graphic Design we
always charge you fairly for the design work that you purchase. Our
prices are calculated according to how difficult the design is to
produce and how much time & experience it will take. If you are
unsure about what you are being charged for please ask us and we
will be happy to explain it to you. |

"What is a Revision and how does it
work?"
|
|
| |
Answer: A Revision is basically
a change, used by the client of a graphic designer to make a
moderate to large alteration to one of the elements of a project or
the direction of the project. Example: John has asked us to Design a
Logo for his Garden Produce Website. Up until this point he has
wanted a tomato as one of the main elements of the logo design, as
well as the word 'John's Produce.' At some point John decides that
he would like to have a melon as one of the main elements instead of
a tomato. This is a change large enough to be called a Revision. Not
all changes will be regarded as revisions, such as making a font
size one point smaller, etc. It is considered to be a revision if it
is large enough to add considerable time to the length of the
project. We will let you know During a project if a change you
require is considered a Revision or just part of the normal Design
Process. |
